Welcome to Southam & District Lions Club, a part of Lions Clubs International (LCI).

In 1971 Southam & District Lions Club was formed by members of the community who wanted to serve and improve our community.

Who are Lions Clubs International?

We are a worldwide voluntary service organisation with over 34,000 clubs in 155 countries.

In the year 1917 and in response to social problems created by World War 1 and rapid industrialisation, a Chicago businessman Melvin Jones gets together with like minded people to form Lions Clubs.

For over 100 years, Lions have served with uncommon kindness, putting the needs of our neighbours, our communities and our world first.

COVID 19 has created new challenges and changed the way we live, but our dedication to helping those in need is as strong as it was when our club started in 1971.

“When caring people join together, roll up their sleeves and take action to make their community better, it’s a beautiful thing—and an incredible feeling for everyone involved. That’s Lions”.

Today Lions Clubs International has over 1.4 million members around the globe.

We hold our meetings upstairs at the Sports & Social Club, School Street, Southam on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday each month at 8.00pm (no meetings in December). Under Covid 19 restrictions our meetings are currently held virtually.

Our aim, well, we try to put the fun back into fundraising by organising events in and around the local area, generating much needed funds that we can pass back to those needier than us.

We welcome new members and visitors and if you would like to attend a meeting just phone our Membership Team (See Contacts).
